Online Game Courses

I was asked to find Online Game courses.  Bit short notice as the guy needed this for the weekend but I did find a decent post by Guatam Tambay on The Best Free Online Resources to Learn Game Development and Gamification

It's a starting point and some of the stuff although a little outdated now is still pretty relevant.

Course Talk

Found an interesting site today that claims to inform you of courses (based on subjects you are interested in) that may be of use to you. It states it covers 40,000 courses based on MOOC.  MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course and are available to anyone with internet access.  MOOCs tend to be free and are taught by a number of organisations as a way of enticing you to sign up for other paid courses they offer.

I tried the search based on Business > Leadership and it seems to be a useful tool.  Site is nice and clean too.

Having completed courses using the OU myself I'd recommend them if you wish to learn while you are still in employment.

TutorCare emergency first aid awareness course

TutorCare is one of the UK's largest vocational training providers. Offering 600+ courses in-house, online and through training centres nationwide they have a reputation for delivering training across the UK.

One of the latest offerings I've found online is their Emergency First Aid Awareness course and compliments a number of other courses offered direct by them in the area of first aid.

This online training programme is designed to offer flexibility to those with a busy workload. Allowing access for 12 months the  E-Learning Emergency First Aid and Awareness course costs as little as £39.  At the end of the course a certificate confirming completion is then provided.

Open edX, global learning with free courses

Almost too good to be true edX is an online learning destination offering high-quality courses, over 983 in total.  From webinars to self-paced guides you can enroll on any audited course for free and participate in any activities as well as the exams.  Auditing is free but you don't get verified certification unless you upload photos of yourself and your government-issued photo ID.  I'm checking to see if this means the certificates only apply to those in the United States of America but either way this one looks worth taking a second look at.
